The way the light just slowly hits the tops of the dunes and changes all the colors from deep purples to bright oranges is just stunning, like nothing else I’ve ever seen. Anyway, after the sunrise, we had a pretty good breakfast back at the camp. Then it was pretty much time to say goodbye to the dunes and hop back on the camels for the ride back to where our 4×4 was waiting. The drive back to Marrakech is, I mean, just as long as the drive there, so you have to be ready for a lot of time in the car, right? But the driver breaks it up with a few stops for lunch and coffee, and to be honest, you get to see all that amazing scenery all over again from a different perspective, so it’s not too bad. Honest Tips and Things to You Know, Actually Consider

So, there are definitely a few things you might want to think about. First, that drive is really, really long, like around eight or nine hours each way, so basically be prepared for that. You should absolutely bring a book or some podcasts for the car. Also, the desert weather is extreme, you know? It’s often super hot during the day but then gets surprisingly cold as soon as the sun goes down, so packing layers is pretty much a must.
